He was killed in a shooting incident on a farm 30 miles northwest of Kitchener. Also killed in the incident were Carl F. Rocher, 78, Justice of the Peace and Joseph Jantzi, 42, owner of the farm.
Police said the incident originated with a quarrel between Jantzi and his wife.
Constable Hamilton was with the OPP for almost 15 years.
Constable Hamilton was survived by his wife and five children.
