Corporal Lee was stationed at Dowling at the time of his death. Corporal Lee was directing traffic at the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 144. At about 11:30 PM he was struck and killed by an impaired driver.

Corporal Lee was with the OPP for 19 years. He was survived by his father.
