Constable Skidmore was stationed at Coboconk at the time of his death.

He was returning to the office after a morning and afternoon giving evidence in court. His vehicle lost control on a rough spot in the road. The vehicle hit a rock face and rolled. Constable Skidmore was partially ejected from the vehicle which landed on him, killing him instantly.

Constable Skidmore was with the OPP for 4 years.

Constable Skidmore is survived by his wife and son.
