Ranger Eisenhauer and a Game Inspector were assaulted by 4 men at Kearney Lake in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The assault resulted in the death of Ranger Eisenhauer. The officers came upon 4 men with firearms. Two of the men were detained and when they were being handcuffed, the other 2 men came to their assistance and assaulted the officers.

They were originally charged with ensuing grievous bodily harm but charges of murder were relayed upon Ranger Eisenhauer's death.
