Suspect Info: Shot and killed

Constable Edgar Millen was shot and killed while attempting to apprehend a wanted man in Northwest Territories. The suspect also badly wounded a constable who attempted to question him. The suspect was shot and killed by other officers two weeks later.

The suspect was captured with the assistance of an experienced bush pilot who also assisted with capturing the murderer of Constable William Nixon of the Edmonton Police Department.

The case is referred to the Mad Trapper of Rat River.

Constable Millen is buried in Beechmont Cemetery in Edmonton.
