Constable Desfosses was shot after stopping a car for speeding. Two men from the car he just stopped climbed into the back seat of his patrol car. While writing a report, he was shot in the back of the head by one of the men, who was a drug dealer afraid of being caught. The murderer committed suicide a few hours later.
