Constable Larry Esau
Constable Esau was killed on duty while riding his motorcycle. On June 29, Constable Esau was checking cars for illegal parking at Woolands and Hastings. Constable Esau's motorcycle collided with the front left fender of a car driven by Percy Cuff. The motorcycle was demolished and Constable Esau was thrown 64 feet by the impact. He died of head injuries. He joined the Vancouver Police Department in January 1964 after 2 years with the RCMP.
