Constable Alain Forget was stationed in St. Hubert, Quebec at the time of his death. Constable Forget was struck and killed while setting up a roadblock. He died after a van smashed into his cruiser, sending it flying. He was standing near the roadblock at the time of the incident. After being struck Constable Forget never regained consciousness.

The roadblock was being set up to try and catch 3 suspects after a Credit Union in the area had been robbed. The driver of the vehicle has been charged with first degree murder. He is also charged along with 2 others of armed robbery, possession of a firearm, being in disguise while committing a crime, and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Constable Forget was a six year veteran of the St. Hubert Municipal Force. He is survived by his wife who is eight months pregnant.
