| Constable William M. Holloway Biographical Info Incident Details Constable Holloway and Constable Brash were on bicycle patrol after having their midnight lunch at the station. They noticed a car travelling on Eramoan Road at a high rate of speed. The officers stood in the roadway waving their arms to signal the driver to stop. The vehicle failed to stop and struck Constable Holloway carrying him down the road for several yards on the front of the vehicle. When the vehicle finally stopped the Constable Holloway fell to the pavement striking the back of his head. Constable Holloway was taken to hospital immediately where he was operated on but died from his injuries. Constable Holloway had 6 years service with the Guelph Police. At the time of his death he was survived by his wife.
