Constable Morden was stationed to headquarters staff at Sudbury, then 13 District at the time of his death. Constable Morden and fellow officer Constable Ed Schroeder were travelling along the highway when they were involved in a collision. Constable Morden and Constable Schroeder were transported to hospital where Constable Morden died. Constable Schroeder sustained severe shock and other injuries, but recovered.
