![]() | Fish & Wildlife Officer III Ronald Black Biographical Info Incident Details Fish and Wildlife Officer III Ronald Black was supervising a winter commercial net fishery at Peerless Lake, Alberta. This lake is approximately 360 miles north of Edmonton, Alberta. Temperatures were in the -30 F. range. Officer Black was attempting to load a bombardier ski machine onto a trailer when he collapsed. Two hours of CPR failed to revive him. It is believed the elements were a strong factor in his death. The nearest medical aid was 180 miles away.
