Constable Laframboise was travelling to Lasalle on Highway 18. While attempting to overtake another vehicle, Constable Laframboise struck an oncoming vehicle. The injured were taken to hospital in Windsor.

While recovering in hospital, Constable Laframboise developed pneumonia and died.
